Integration to something such as MPC-HC could be improved, which does not bring full menu's, but have a decent main movie playback. How can I produce a log file in My Movies for Windows? How can I fully uninstall My Movies for Windows Having a problem? Searching our Knowledge Base is always the first step. Having trouble installing or upgrading to My Movies 5? Click here for troubleshooting. It is likely that we will try to contact Cyberlink, to hear if they have interest in making a few tweaks allowing us to do what we did with TMT, which gave a tighter integration in terms of switching to the player. Improvements here could be that we use the meta-data to specify which title set to play, to ensure better main movie playback, and perhaps to play TV Series episodes directly. I think that what this means for My Movies specifically is that we will improve our focus on some other things: - Our automatic disc copier and the video converters conversion to lossless MKV will get some more attention, and we will try to see if we can let the meta-data on specifically subtitles be read and locked to the content of the disc, rather than being user inputted, and then allow for the user to mark tracks that are forced, so that we can use the meta-data to handle forced subtitles. Then I'd have more choice in external players. Or if any can share their thoughts or experiences. And when you sit down to watch a movie, it only takes an occasional one to irritate me (not to mention the wife and/or family) An help would be appreciated.

Only a few random movies have trouble launching, but its hard to test every movie rip on every PC in the house. Seems that MKV would lessen the compatibility issues across multiple platforms, but not sure. Some ATI Radeon work better, some Nvidia or Intel onboard. Certain movies work flawlessly on one set up and won't launch on another. I just wish there was an automated way to take all my BDMV folders and make MKV without having to figure out which ones have forced subs and all that work that I don't worry about with full copies.I have more than a 65TB server, so space is not the issue for me Another issue I have with TMT is that the BDMV playback has issues occasionally, but with 4 different PC environments, its never easy to get them to work across all TVs.

Anyone have any suggestions on a format or solution to such a large collection? I know there are scripts for batch ISO creation. I don t want to have to research each disc and their often many audio tracks. How would I go about handling forced subs with my BDMV folders.

My only issue with MKV is the tireless work of re-ripping them all, and more than that is dealing with forced subtitles. I always told myself I'd want all the extras and everything, but I rarely watch them. I like the idea of it playing directly to the movie (movie only rips). I have nearly 1000 Blurays ripped to BDMV folders, and have thought about making MKVs or the like for a few years. I've bought PowerDVD a few times throughout the years (most recently PDVD13), hoping that things had improved, but have been disappointed each time. I don't mean to say I won't be buying Blu-ray discs any more, just that I plan to stop making full disc rips and use professionally made digital copies whenever available. My long term strategy has been to switch to digital media, using Ultraviolet CFF as much as possible. Cyberlink lost me as a customer a long time ago.
